- Conduct thorough conflict checks on new clients, matters, and lateral hires using an electronic and online database.
- Analyze potential conflicts and communicate findings and suggested resolutions effectively.
- Manage new matter forms and maintain accurate client/matter data.
- Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for review.
- Collaborate with attorneys and conflicts counsel to resolve issues.
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate combined with recent law firm experience.
- 2+ years of recent US law firm conflicts department experience, this is not an entry-level role
- 2+ years of working knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules pertaining to conflicts.
- Proficiency with Intapp (strongly preferred) or equivalent conflicts software.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects while providing an accurate work product in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to take initiative and adapt to workflow, processes, and procedures changes.
- Ability to think critically, independently, and decisively while working collaboratively as a team.
