LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our reputable client's commercial litigation team in the Detroit Area. This role requires at least three years of experience as a legal support professional with a strong understanding of commercial litigation matters and filing in Michigan.
What You'll Do:
- Track crucial litigation deadlines, including court appearances, discovery timelines, and filing dates to ensure timely compliance.
- Prepare and file essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, ensuring adherence to Michigan court rules.
- Schedule and coordinate expert and layperson depositions, managing all logistics including locations and dates for seamless execution.
- Track attorney billable hours meticulously, ensuring accurate time entries for client billing.
- Update clients on case developments and schedule meetings or document requests to maintain clear and consistent communication.
Who You Are:
- Experienced Litigation Legal Assistant who has spent 3+ years supporting attorneys with commercial litigation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Billing Software, and On-Line Document Management Software
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Pay Details: $55,000 - $65,000/year
