LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting our client currently who has an immediate need for a Part-time Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist in Detroit, MI. Our client is seeking someone with a broad knowledge of accounting, a team-player attitude, and can adapt to company culture. In this role, you will be the lead in maintaining global accounts AR, and clerical functions of the corporate department. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Collections/Credit

· Enter & maintain AR data in ERP system

  • Prepare and make daily deposits for each company division

  • Payment postings

  • Invoicing

  • Reconcile AR & intercompany AR accounts monthly

  • Prepares monthly statements for each of the company divisions

  • Research & Resolve discrepancies

  • Reconcile report discrepancies and problems and updates such reports for accuracy

  • Seek ways to improve current AR process

Qualifications:

· 2 years of General Accounting experience

· Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred (specifically Accounting Major)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Advanced MS Excel is required; v-lookups and pivot table required

· Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Solid knowledge of general accounting and how it relates to the Accounts Receivable department

Specifics:

· Monday-Friday (Can work part-time hours 30+ OR full-time_

· Fully On-site

· Pay $22-25/hr. dependent on depth of AR experience.

· Contract position for 6+ months, conversion to permanent placement possible but not guaranteed!
