Location: Metro Detroit, MI

Travel (40%): Michigan and other US states

Overview:

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee multi-million-dollar projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards while leading, coordinating resources, and collaborating effectively with superintendents and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects, setting direction, aligning resources, and maintaining high standards, while interfacing with clients and other representatives

  • Oversee the entire construction effort, ensuring safety, quality, design, budget, and schedule adherence, including the creation and management of project schedules and costs

  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, equipment rentals, estimating extra work, and issuing change orders, ensuring efficient use of materials and equipment

  • Represent the company in project and labor strategy meetings, establish project objectives and policies, and coordinate subcontractors, including writing and managing subcontracts and change orders

  • Ensure efficient and complete project closeout, including financials, while maintaining high productivity and contractual performance

Requirements:

  • Must have industrial construction experience (automotive, aerospace, energy, etc.).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in heavy industrial project management

  • Strong leadership skills and self-motivation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Primavera, AutoCAD, and Viewpoint software

Bonus/Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the automotive sector

  • Additional roles available for MEP and/or Steel construction project management specialists
