The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our volunteer program. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support our organization's mission and goals. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Downers Grove, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies.
- Create and maintain volunteer recruitment materials, such as job descriptions and promotional materials.
- Screen and interview potential volunteers to assess their skills, interests, and availability.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive volunteer training programs.
- Provide ongoing training and support to volunteers.
- Ensure volunteers have the necessary tools and resources to perform their tasks effectively.
- Assign volunteers to appropriate tasks and projects based on their skills and interests.
- Monitor volunteer performance and provide feedback and recognition.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities.
- Address any volunteer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement volunteer recognition programs to appreciate and motivate volunteers.
- Collaborate with other organizations to coordinate joint volunteer projects.
- Manage volunteer schedules and calendars.
- Track volunteer expenses and reimbursements.
- Prepare reports on volunteer activities and impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Contract to Hire
- Monday- Friday
- Pay is $27-$32 an hour, depending on experience
