Now Hiring: Contract Litigation Paralegal (Chicago, IL)
LHH is anticipating a variety of upcoming commercial litigation projects with both our law firm and in house legal clients. As a result of these potential upcoming projects, we are seeking an experienced Contract Litigation Paralegal who is ready to take on complex cases involving contract disputes and business to business commercial matters. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity ideal for legal professionals who want to be ahead of the curve in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide critical support to attorneys handling commercial litigation matters, including legal research, case analysis, and factual investigations
Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses
Manage the discovery process from start to finish, including document review, production, and eDiscovery
Interact professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court staff
Maintain litigation calendars and track court deadlines to ensure proactive case management
Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, summarizing depositions, and assisting with pre-trial filings and logistics
Support the litigation team in upcoming commercial litigation projects as the firm expands its caseload
Qualifications:
Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred
3+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on contract and commercial disputes
Familiarity with Illinois state and federal court systems and procedural rules
Strong proficiency with legal research platforms and litigation support software
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to anticipate case needs, prioritize tasks, and thrive under deadlines
Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
