Job Opening: Project Manager – Standalone Services (Solar) Temp to hire
Location: Hybrid –Durham, NC

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager – Standalone Services to lead solar service projects including DC remediation, wire management, QA/QC inspections, module washing, and corrective work. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial oversight, scheduling expertise, and operational coordination skills who thrives in a fast-paced field environment.
Key Responsibilities
? Project & Financial Management
  • Manage PO-based and contracted solar service projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Track budgets vs. actuals daily and optimize resource allocation for efficiency and profitability.
? Project Scheduling & Execution
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules, coordinating workforce and materials.
  • Maintain clear communication with field teams and customers to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Proactively address delays and revise schedules as needed.
? Customer & Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the primary operational contact for customers.
  • Deliver daily progress reports and collaborate with account managers to align expectations.
?? Operational Execution & Coordination
  • Oversee full project mobilization and demobilization.
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and workforce to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance and resolve on-site challenges efficiently.
? Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Uphold safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct inspections and implement continuous improvement measures.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of project management experience in solar services or renewable energy.
  • Expertise in DC remediation, wire management, and QA/QC inspections.
  • Experience managing PO-based projects with financial tracking.
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and logistics coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic field environment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and solar industry safety standards.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.


Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
