LHH is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CNC machines and have experience with manual machining. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, precision measurement, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality parts in compliance with tight tolerances and specifications while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and set up CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, routers) to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform manual machining operations using equipment such as manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs to determine machining requirements.
Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for material and machine settings.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC and manual machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve processes and resolve machining challenges.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company safety protocols.
Monitor quality throughout the production process and make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired outcomes.
Document production activities, including machine settings and adjustments, in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or CNC operation is preferred.
Proven experience as a Machinist with both CNC and manual machines.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
