Staff Accountant (Public Accounting Candidates looking to get into private)
Location: El Segundo, CA (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually (DOE)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our team in El Segundo. This is a direct hire opportunity, fully onsite, with strong growth potential in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred, and candidates must have a solid foundation in general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and participate in the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform monthly account analysis
Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions in accordance with GAAP
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support during audits
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end close process
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (ERP systems preferred)
High attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
