Job Title: Accounting Manager

Department: Accounting


Reports To: Controller


Location: Elk Grove Village

General Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting Department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of five accounting professionals.

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management.

  • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation and work paper review.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with sales tax reporting requirements in applicable states.

  • Reconcile inter-company accounts.

  • Coordinate and manage quarterly and annual audits.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages to the parent company.

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and month-end close processes.

  • Experience in cost accounting is a plus.

  • Background in manufacturing and/or public accounting is a plus.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
