Buyer’s Assistant (Emeryville, CA)
LHH is teaming up with a Food and Beverage organization in Emeryville, CA in search of a Buyer’s Assistant to support supply chain operations and purchasing functions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team focused on optimizing product flow and vendor relationships. The organization is known for its collaborative environment and commitment to operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate purchasing processes that directly impact store performance and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all aspects of purchasing and data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure retail pricing and product values are correctly researched and entered.
Verify product descriptions and update pricing as needed.
Process supplier invoices promptly to minimize past dues.
Maintain strong communication with suppliers, internal departments, stores, and distribution centers.
Respond to store inquiries and issues within 24 hours.
Set up suppliers, items, and modules with precision and attention to detail.
Manage pricing alerts, corrective billings, and promotional updates.
Own the Print & Digital AD process including image proofing, AD file accuracy, and purchase order tracking.
Qualifications:
Experience in a supply chain, purchasing, or retail operations role required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
Proficiency with data entry and vendor systems preferred.
Job Type: Contract (at least 3 months with a possibility to extend)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid in Emeryville, CA (2 days remote per week)
Hours: Full-time, standard business hours
Pay Rate: $25-28/hour, depending on experience
