LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire an Inventory Accountant for a job opportunity in Emeryville, California. This role is hybrid and will be in-office 3 days a week. The position will be responsible for running reports, requesting information from independent retail operators, focusing on ensuring the accuracy of company inventory. The job will perform reconciliation of store inventories across the client’s locations. The Inventory Accounting team works closely with internal auditors, warehouse teams, and independent retail operators to ensure that inventories are accurate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconciling retail store inventories across multiple retail stores.


• Perform month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports related to retail inventories.


• Perform account analysis on general ledger detail and prepare journal entries based on this analysis.


• Process certain manual inventory transfer transactions in the inventory system


• Prepare finance reports and spreadsheets.


• Other tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.


• Medium to large ERP experience preferred. SAP experience would be ideal.


• Strong Microsoft Office skills along with being Advanced with Excel.


• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written).


• Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and self-motivated.


• Analytical, problem-solving skills, accountable, and committed to excellence and high standards.

Experience: 3 years of staff accounting experience (Inventory Accountant, Staff Accountant)
