We are seeking a meticulous and resilient Litigation Billing Specialist to join our client near Sherman Oaks! This role is crucial for managing the billing processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong communication with the partners and litigation attorneys. Responsibilities:

  • Handle billing for litigation cases, ensuring all hourly labor charges are accurately recorded and invoiced.

  • Maintain precision in billing processes, managing a low volume of 50-100 bills per month.

  • Proactively follow up with partners and litigation attorneys to ensure timely and accurate billing.

  • Work effectively in a challenging environment with partners and attorneys.

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and disputes.

  • Regularly update and maintain billing software and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  • Prepare and distribute detailed billing reports to partners and attorneys, providing insights and analysis as needed.

  • Ensure all billing activities comply with the firm's policies and relevant legal regulations.

  • Address and resolve any billing disputes or discrepancies promptly and professionally.

  • Provide training and support to junior staff and new hires on billing procedures and best practices.

  • Maintain comprehensive and organized billing records for audit and review purposes.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in legal billing or billing within an accounting/professional services firm.

  • Familiarity with billing hourly labor charges is essential.

  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address billing issues and improve processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and demanding interactions with professionalism.



Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
