We are thrilled to present an exciting job opportunity for a Senior Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Payable (AP). This role is based in Evanston, IL, and offers a unique chance to grow within the company.

Position Details:

• Title: Senior Accountant (AP focus)

• Location: Evanston, IL

• Onsite: 5 days in office

• Salary: $100,000 annually+

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Oversee AP processes and systems implementation

• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors

• Monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for business initiatives

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures

• Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses

• Crosstrain and serve as backup to other team members

• Aid in developing a centralized accounting function to streamline processes

Must-Haves:

• Extensive Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• Strong accounting skills

• Experience with ERP systems

• Collaborative personality

• Detail orientation

• Growth mindset and leadership qualities

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in manufacturing accounting

• Knowledge of inventory management

• Comfortable with cross-departmental interactions
