LHH is searching for a temporary to hire Property Accountant for their team. The Property Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of our diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all accounting processes. You will also be processing payroll for the company and be providing monthly financial statements for each property. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience, preferably within the real estate sector. You will need to be comfortable working fully onsite in the office in Everett, WA. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain property-level general ledger accounts and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Record journal entries for property-related transactions, including revenue recognition, expenses, accruals, and depreciation.
  • Review and process accounts payable invoices related to property operations, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Manage accounts receivable functions, including tenant billing, rent collections, and reconciliation of tenant accounts.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for about 100 employees and coordinate with the HR team to ensure benefits are properly administered.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • At least five years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards applicable to real estate industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Employment Details:
  • Temporary to hire.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Fully onsite in Everett, WA office.
