Director of Program Management – Aerospace

Location: Farmingdale, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000
Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience in program management
    OR

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience specifically in aerospace program management


Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Program Management to lead and oversee complex aerospace programs from concept through delivery. This executive-level role will be responsible for driving program excellence, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful execution of high-impact initiatives in a regulated, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and oversight for all aerospace programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations.

  • Lead program planning, execution, and delivery across engineering, operations, and quality teams.

  • Develop and manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Present program updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in program management
    OR

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in aerospace program management.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional programs.

  • Deep understanding of aerospace industry standards, compliance, and customer expectations.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile, Earned Value Management).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PMP certification.

  • Experience with government or defense aerospace programs.

  • Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace compliance standards



Pay Details: $150,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year
