Senior Program Manager – Aerospace

Location: Farmingdale, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000
Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in a aerospace program management

    OR

  • Master’s degree with 7 years of experience in aerospace program management


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee complex aerospace programs from inception through delivery. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage cross-functional teams and ensure program success in a high-stakes, regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients.

  • Develop and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and present program status reports to executive leadership and customers.

  • Foster collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with no prior experience in a program manager role in aerospace
    OR

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in aerospace program management.

  • Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile, Earned Value Management).


Preferred Skills:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

  • Experience with government or defense aerospace programs.

  • Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace compliance standards.



Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
