Seeking an analytical and hands on Vice President of Operations with 10+ years of experience in operations, purchasing, global supply chain, and distribution for the retail products space.
Must-Have Skills:
Purchasing: Oversee procurement processes, purchase order management, and drive supplier performance for cost optimization.
Warehouse/Distribution Center Management: Experience managing internal distribution centers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Global Supply Chain: Manage complex international supply chains.
Retail Fulfillment and E-commerce: Hands-on experience in retail fulfillment and e-commerce operations.
Logistics: Expertise in logistics and distribution to ensure efficient operations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed strategic decisions.
Change Management: Lead change management initiatives and process improvements.
Capacity Planning and ERP Implementation: Develop capacity planning processes and implement ERP systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with finished import goods and products, working with multiple vendors.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Infor M3, SAP, or JD Edwards.
Modernizing logistics infrastructure to compete with retail and e-commerce competitors.
Managing trade compliance and capacity planning.
Responsibilities:
Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management: Optimize international logistics and supply chain activities for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Warehouse/Distribution Center Operations: Implement best practices to meet customer requirements and ensure operational efficiency.
Data Analysis and Strategic Decision Making: Pull and interpret data to make informed strategic decisions.
Capacity Planning: Create processes to achieve the S&OP Plan, raise purchase orders, and manage supplier performance.
Purchasing: Oversee procurement processes and drive supplier performance.
Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate contracts and oversee third-party provider performance.
Order Processing and Fulfillment: Ensure efficient order processing and fulfillment at the lowest cost.
Continuous Improvement: Build a culture of continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Excellent leadership, planning, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve processes.
Experience in managing significant contractual relationships.
Familiarity with ERP and supply chain planning systems
Pay Details: $185,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
