LHH has partnered with a company in the medical field in Flint, Michigan, and is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team! This is a Direct Hire role and will be fully onsite Monday - Friday, and offers flexible working hours between 7:00am- 7:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive payroll operations using UKG, encompassing data input, payroll computations, and salary distribution.

  • Manage and update employee records within UKG, ensuring precise details on salaries, benefits, and deductions.

  • Ensure adherence to UK employment laws and regulations, including tax withholdings, national insurance contributions, and other statutory obligations.

  • Produce and evaluate payroll reports, detailing earnings, deductions, and taxes, and provide management with relevant insights.

  • Address and resolve payroll-related questions and discrepancies from employees and management promptly.

  • Work with the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve any UKG system issues; participate in system upgrades and testing.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance payroll procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of payroll experience, with extensive use of UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proficiency in UKG, with a thorough understanding of payroll systems, HRIS, and related software tools.

  • Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Exceptional accuracy in payroll processing and financial record maintenance.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.



Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
