LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting in hiring a Human Resources and General Administration Assistant for a plant operations facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing HR programs, supporting employee relations, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Hours/Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Competitive salary based on experience
- $25.00 per hour
- Forest Grove, OR
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including arranging and conducting interviews.
- Administer and monitor new hire orientation and on-boarding programs.
- Maintain confidentiality of human resources information and protect operational integrity.
- Handle telephone coverage and vendor support.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, and arrange meetings.
- Review and verify the Plant Manager’s expense reports and process them for reimbursement.
- Process purchase orders for plant vendors.
- Attend trainings and seminars to stay updated on HR law, legislation, and trends.
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with legal requirements.
- Demonstrate awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business or HR preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting executive-level management.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.
Physical Requirements / Work Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to access and navigate various departments within the organization’s facilities.
