Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Oakland Park, FL. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in high-volume AP processing within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess a deep understanding of construction-related invoicing, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Manage subcontractor payments, including compliance with lien waivers and insurance requirements.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date AP files and records.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience, with a strong emphasis on high-volume processing.
- Construction industry experience is required (e.g., working with subcontractors, lien releases, job costing).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
