LHH Talent Solutions is working with a global law firm that currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity in the Government Law & Policy Department of our Fort Lauderdale office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. The Legal Assistant serves as the key point of contact for both internal and external clients and acts as a liaison between the attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, be results-driven, exercise good judgment, and manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision at a high level of professionalism. The accomplished Legal Executive Assistant will have a strong foundation in executive support. Candidates should also be flexible to work occasional overtime as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain busy calendar, email, and telephone; schedule appointments
Prepare and organize complex travel arrangements
Maintain client files and update contact lists
Document management and production, draft letters and correspondence (including word processing, transcribing, and proofreading)
Conserve attorneys' time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence
Monitor, screen, respond to, and distribute incoming communication
Process reimbursement expenses, heavy expenditure reporting, and credit card reconciliation
Manage client billing and collections, time entry
Heavy client contact (including with opposing counsel and courts) for coordination and to assist with the management of client relationships
Coordinate client engagement and conflicts process
Assist in business development initiatives and filings
Skills & Competencies:
Extremely organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize workload, and work well under pressure
Self-starter, forward-thinking, action-oriented, and focused
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team as well as work independently
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Quick learner, able to adapt to new situations
Ability to respond outside of normal business hours
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years' experience as an administrative or executive assistant in a professional administrative position in a large or medium-sized organization
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook required, as well as document management and other office technologies
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
