LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our client in Franklin Park, IL. This full-time direct hire full is fully onsite.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and designing mechanical components and systems, leading process FMEA activities, troubleshooting issues with processes and machinery, and improving efficiency and optimization. This role requires at least 8 years of experience, advanced 3D CAD skills, and excellent drafting skills.

Responsibilities:

· Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems for products using 3D solid-modeling

· Lead process FMEA activities

· Provide guidance and support to machinists to ensure optimal use of equipment

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues with processes and machinery

· Partner with CNC programmers and machine operators to improve efficiency and product quality

· Provide manufacturing expertise to suppliers, customers and other departments

· Ensure quality and safety standards are met

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering preferred

· 8+ years of manufacturing experience in a lead role

· Expert in Planning Manufacturing Processes

· Experience with grinding machines required

· Advanced 3D CAD skills

· Proficiency with CNC programming

· Strong communication skills

· Excellent drafting skills

· Thorough understanding of GD & T

· Green belt/Lean certification preferred
