LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract opportunity in Fremont, California. Ideally, you will responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s accounts receivable operations. This role will work closely with internal teams, customers, and external partners to ensure timely payment collection, cash appications, and the maintenance of proper financial records.

PLEASE NOTE: All duties for this role are performed at the client’s office in Fremont, California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accounts receivable records, including tracking outstanding balances and ensuring accurate and timely billing.

  • Process incoming payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card payments.

  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that all payments are applied accurately.

  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.

  • Communicate with customers to follow up on overdue accounts, negotiate payment plans, and resolve issues.

  • Monitor aging reports and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team members or management.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing accounts receivable-related reports and providing support for audits.

  • Maintain and update customer payment terms and contact information in the company’s accounting system.

  • Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to address customer inquiries or issues related to billing.

  • Review and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Assist in process improvements and contribute to streamlining the receivables workflow.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar accounting role.

  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial reporting.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers professionally.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or service industry environment.

  • Experience using NetSuite
