The Process Engineer focusing on optimizing operations to reduce costs, boost efficiency, ensure quality, comply with emissions standards, and maintain safety. This role drives continuous improvement in combustion and calcination, resolves process issues through root cause analysis, and works closely with management and plant staff to improve production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify production bottlenecks, create action plans, and evaluate results.
Lead daily meetings with operators and team leaders to address production goals, challenges, and updates.
Provide technical support to production, maintenance, environmental, and quality teams.
Monitor process reliability and assess opportunities for improvement.
Inspect refractory and instrumentation during plant outages and prepare shutdown reports.
Document and address process issues, working with the team to find solutions.
Conduct energy audits to identify cost-saving measures.
Analyze raw materials, fuels, and stone to optimize their use and perform cost-benefit assessments.
Monitor stone and fuel quality and their impact on product output.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Lead environmental compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Minerals Processing Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in engineering roles within operations or maintenance.
Strong background in Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting.
Willingness to spend significant time on the plant floor working with staff.
Ability to travel when needed.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with continuous improvement and change management.
