Title: Medical Scheduler
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -5pm
Responsibilities
Answer phone a courteous and helpful manner, screen, and route calls as needed, document notes onto electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients.
Schedule appointments correctly and accurately.
Ensure proper authorization or valid referral documentation has been received and review schedule appointments to include appointment date, time, location, and provider.
Register patients and confirm patient demographics.
Interact with patients, family members, visitors, and members of the health care team; direct patient questions and/or complaints to appropriate department; keep patients informed.
Schedule patients for all office visits or in office procedures.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling and experience with insurance verification.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Working knowledge of computer programs.
Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
High School diploma or GED.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
