LHH has partnered with a food and beverage company in the Grand Rapids, MI area and is looking for a Procurement Specialist/Admin Assistant to join their team! This is a six-month contract role with the possibility to go permanent after the contract duration. This role will be fully onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities:
  • Enter purchase orders into the ERP system for various categories and locations.
  • Validate quantities, resolve price discrepancies, and verify the physical receipt of incoming orders with multiple department requisitioners.
  • Ensure timely routing of invoices from departments to Accounts Payable, and packing slips to the designated Procurement Clerk to maintain segregation of duties and meet vendor invoice processing deadlines.
  • Engage with company guests and visitors in a respectful and welcoming manner, assisting with any queries.
  • Provide back-up support to the Procurement Department clerical staff and other team members as needed, adapting to changing staffing capacity needs.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of purchasing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer-driven purchasing systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar MRP/ERP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external personnel at all levels.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to adapt to changing workloads and tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to process changes as applicable.


Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
