Procurement / Purchasing Specialist

$20.00 - $25.00 per Hour
- Enter purchase orders into the ERP system for various categories and locations.
- Validate quantities, resolve price discrepancies, and verify the physical receipt of incoming orders with multiple department requisitioners.
- Ensure timely routing of invoices from departments to Accounts Payable, and packing slips to the designated Procurement Clerk to maintain segregation of duties and meet vendor invoice processing deadlines.
- Engage with company guests and visitors in a respectful and welcoming manner, assisting with any queries.
- Provide back-up support to the Procurement Department clerical staff and other team members as needed, adapting to changing staffing capacity needs.
- 1-2 years of purchasing experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computer-driven purchasing systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar MRP/ERP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external personnel at all levels.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to adapt to changing workloads and tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to process changes as applicable.
