Senior Accountant

LHH has partnered with a distribution company in Grand Rapids, MI and is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a permanent placement role that will be fully onsite during training before transitioning to a hybrid position. Responsibilities:

• Process checks and ACH payments for various invoices, including non-product, freight, and product, ensuring all applicable discounts are applied.
• Receive, review, code, and post approved employee expense reports.
• Track charges and match receipts to statements for company credit cards.
• Review invoices to optimize cash flow, including ACH, check, and foreign wire payments.
• Verify the payment checklist and complete the payment process.
• Send remittance information to vendors and file payment details accordingly.
• Act as the primary contact for vendor inquiries via phone, email, and other communication tools.

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable (AP).
• Proficient in large ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365 but open to others.
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting is preferred.
