Job Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are to be undertaken with respect to the organization and its affiliates, as requested:
Accounting
Coordinate the accounts payable process:
Receive and organize vendor invoices
Manage communications with vendors
Obtain invoice authorization from the appropriate party
Determine proper general ledger coding
Prepare all accounts payable subledger entries
Prepare check or electronic payments
Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
Assist in maintaining schedules of financial assets, including fair market values and other relevant metrics.
Support financial close activities for all entities, including recording investment and operational activity.
Assist in preparing tax work papers and coordinate with external accountants for tax returns and estimates.
Prepare 1099 Forms.
Reconcile all bank accounts monthly.
Assist in administering grant-making activities.
Communicate with a wide range of personnel, including caretakers of executive residences.
Prepare general ledger reconciliations and analyses as needed.
Provide clerical and administrative support to management.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Administrative
Monitor and prioritize a high volume of business, nonprofit, social, and personal communications.
Maintain a detailed and busy calendar with various commitments.
Create and manage domestic and international travel itineraries, including bookings and last-minute changes.
Arrange appointments, plan meetings and conference calls, and coordinate related materials.

15 business days annually (pro-rated based on start date)
Governed by the organization’s vacation policy
Sick/Personal Leave
Up to 5 paid days per year (pro-rated based on start date)
