LHH has an immediate need for a Sr. / Cost Accountant for one of our clients in the Triad area. Our client is a large manufacturing company that needs a cost accountant to manage the costing function, as well as, participating in the general accounting and financial reporting of the company. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

• Over 5 years of experience in cost accounting and general accounting

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles and practices

• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Capable of working independently and handling multiple tasks

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the cost accounting function, including the development of standard costs and variance analysis

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports

• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

• Assist in creating and implementing accounting policies and procedures

• Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and forecasts

• Liaise with external auditors on audit and tax-related matters

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team
