LHH is actively seeking an experienced HR Benefits Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits administration, with specific experience managing open enrollment processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and other supplemental benefits.
Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit inquiries and issues.
Collaborate with benefits providers and brokers to resolve complex benefits issues.
Lead the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, and execution.
Provide guidance and support to employees during the open enrollment period, ensuring they understand their options and make informed decisions.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and ERISA.
Prepare and submit required compliance reports and documentation.
Assist with audits related to benefits and enrollment.
Monitor trends and best practices in benefits administration and make recommendations for program enhancements.
Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely processing of benefits-related transactions.
Generate and analyze benefits reports to identify trends, costs, and opportunities for improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on open enrollment.
Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficient in HRIS systems, with experience in benefits module management.
Certification in HR (PHR/SPHR) or Benefits (CEBS) is a plus
Depending on the specific client, location, and role benefit may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Available paid leave may include Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
