The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role will lead the financial reporting process, manage audits, and provide technical accounting expertise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
- Manage the financial reporting process, including consolidation of financial data from different departments and subsidiaries.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, working with auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of the audit process.
- Ensure all financial reports and disclosures meet regulatory requirements, including SEC filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q) if applicable.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure proper application of new accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare management reports, including variance analysis and financial performance summaries for senior leadership.
- Lead the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to gather necessary data and ensure alignment in financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and ensure the company remains in compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, with a strong background in technical accounting.
- Experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or in a public company’s financial reporting team is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial statement preparation, and SEC reporting (if applicable).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with SEC filings and reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.
- Proficiency in financial consolidation and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance and risk management.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000
Depending on the specific client, location, and role benefit may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Available paid leave may include Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
