LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer to join our client in Hammond, IN. This full-time direct hire opportunity is fully onsite.

The Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the lime kiln manufacturing process, developing procedures to reduce production costs and ensure product quality, performing root cause analysis, providing technical support and ensuring safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering experience with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for manufacturing process, including the development of processes and procedures to reduce production costs

· Lead efforts for continuous improvement and optimization

· Perform root cause analysis

· Provide technical support, including training operations personnel on kilns

· Perform inspections and prepare shutdown reports during major outages

· Document system or process related issues and review results with plan team

· Conduct audits to identify opportunities for cost savings

· Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships

· Ensure safety compliance and lead environmental compliance testing

· Maintain operating procedures and manuals

· Some travel required

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Minerals Processing Engineering

· Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering role

· Experience in Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting required

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent attention to detail
