Collections Specialist (Business to Business)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Business-to-Business Collections Specialist for a client in the Harrison Ohio area. The Commercial Collections Specialist is responsible for overseeing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $21 and $25/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts.
  • Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
  • Resolves client-billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
  • Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates.
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.
  • Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
  • Mail correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
  • Filing of liens on properties when necessary.
  • Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns.
  • Offer solutions to clients that may involve payment plans, settlements, or other alternatives to standard collection practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role.
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
  • Familiarity with laws related to debt collections.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • High school diploma: Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
