LHH has partnered with a company in the agriculture industry and is looking for a Collections Specialist to join their team! This new role will begin as a year-long contract with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This will be four days onsite and one remote and is located in Hart, Michigan.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the company’s accounts receivable to identify late payments.
  • Engage with clients who have not paid on time to settle their dues or arrange a payment schedule.
  • Utilize various resources like credit reports, postal records, and online searches to find clients who have relocated or changed contact details.
  • Document all interactions with clients regarding overdue accounts and any payments received.
  • Address and resolve any billing disputes or customer complaints.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of unpaid accounts and any progress made in collections.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a collections role or a related field.
  • Understanding of invoicing and debt collection methods (e.g., skip tracing).
  • Knowledge of debt collection regulations (e.g., FDCPA).
  • Proficiency with MS Office and database software.
  • Strong communication abilities (both written and verbal).
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is beneficial.


Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
