Accounting Clerk position
LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a Consumer Products company located in Hauppauge, NY to fill a temporary Accounting Clerk position. This role is expected to be 6+ months long and requires five days per week in the office. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be assisting an Accounting team of 5! This team is very willing to train and is excited for you to join them.
Responsibilities:
Entering accounts payable invoices into the system. Working with vendors to resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies.
Assisting with new vendor set up, vendor communication, and reconciliation
Running AP aging report and assisting in check run process
Processing incoming payments and applying to accounts
Reconciling corporate credit card statements and employee expense reports to ensure spending is in compliance with company policy
Assisting with Accounting related projects on an ad-hoc basis
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related experience is preferred but not required
Proficiency in Excel
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Length:
Temporary role, 6+ months long
Schedule/Hours:
5 day per week on site in Hauppauge, NY (Parking Available)
9 - 5 PM, 35 hour work week
