LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable professional to work for a great company in the Hauppauge, NY area.

This role can start Immediately!! It is On Site Daily. Full Time Days.

Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, including collections, cash applications, and support accounting functions. This role ensures accurate and timely application of cash, preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and handling of deductions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.

  • Process and post cash transactions and receipts accurately.

  • Apply cash correctly to customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Support accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and bank reconciliations.

  • Manage and resolve customer deductions, ensuring proper documentation and communication.

  • Prepare and maintain various accounts receivable reports and analyses.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relations to facilitate collections and resolve issues.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related roles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with ERP systems and cash application processes is a plus.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
