Job Title: Production Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Hicksville, NY
Salary: 75-95k
Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of production employees with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role ensures the execution of the production plan in alignment with customer demand, while fostering a high-performance culture. The supervisor will manage team performance, support development opportunities, and report on key metrics and accomplishments to organizational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise and support a team of 20+ employees in a fast-paced production environment.
Implement staffing plans by identifying resource needs and coordinating with HR.
Manage team development through training, performance reviews, and progressive task assignments.
Lead department-specific induction and training programs, ensuring compliance with training matrices.
Production Management
Execute the production plan in coordination with supply chain and planning teams.
Monitor daily operations to ensure targets for quality, delivery, and efficiency are met.
Communicate production status to relevant departments and escalate issues as needed.
Develop and manage work schedules based on priorities, workload, and available resources.
Performance & Compliance
Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and ISO 13485 standards.
Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conformances (NCs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Interpret and apply company policies within the department.
Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Engage with internal and external customers to address requests and provide updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and loss control standards.
Conduct and support risk assessments as needed.
Promote a safe working environment and enforce the use of PPE and safety protocols.
Required Experience & Skills:
5–10 years of experience in a high-volume production environment, ideally in precision engineering.
Proven experience as a supervisor or team lead in manufacturing.
Strong background in team performance management and development.
Experience with SAP and intermediate-level Excel skills.
Production planning experience is desirable.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
