Job Title: Production Supervisor

Reports To: Operations Manager


Location: Hicksville, NY


Salary: 75-95k

Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of production employees with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role ensures the execution of the production plan in alignment with customer demand, while fostering a high-performance culture. The supervisor will manage team performance, support development opportunities, and report on key metrics and accomplishments to organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and support a team of 20+ employees in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Implement staffing plans by identifying resource needs and coordinating with HR.

  • Manage team development through training, performance reviews, and progressive task assignments.

  • Lead department-specific induction and training programs, ensuring compliance with training matrices.

Production Management

  • Execute the production plan in coordination with supply chain and planning teams.

  • Monitor daily operations to ensure targets for quality, delivery, and efficiency are met.

  • Communicate production status to relevant departments and escalate issues as needed.

  • Develop and manage work schedules based on priorities, workload, and available resources.

Performance & Compliance

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and ISO 13485 standards.

  • Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conformances (NCs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

  • Interpret and apply company policies within the department.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Engage with internal and external customers to address requests and provide updates.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and loss control standards.

  • Conduct and support risk assessments as needed.

  • Promote a safe working environment and enforce the use of PPE and safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5–10 years of experience in a high-volume production environment, ideally in precision engineering.

  • Proven experience as a supervisor or team lead in manufacturing.

  • Strong background in team performance management and development.

  • Experience with SAP and intermediate-level Excel skills.

  • Production planning experience is desirable.



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
