LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking to fill an Accounts Receivable Manager role for a stable and growing company based in the Triad area of North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have accounts receivable and billing experience coupled with previous leadership skills, with a minimum of 6 years of total relevant experience. AR Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the daily functions of the Accounts Receivable department, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective policies, procedures, and controls.
Set clear objectives for the Accounts Receivable team that align with the broader goals of the accounting department. Provide training and mentorship to staff members.
Supervise the processing of invoices and the cash application process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct thorough credit checks on new and potential customers, manage outstanding credit, and monitor overall exposure. Develop and present detailed reports for the leadership team.
Negotiate with customers in cases of non-payment, oversee the collections efforts of the team, and develop robust reporting for accounts receivable. Monitor aging balances and recommend write-offs as necessary.
Manage all communications with external legal counsel and oversee small claims court cases. Conduct cost analysis on accounts within legal proceedings and provide recommendations.
Ensure the accuracy of the Accounts Receivable ledger and sub-ledger. Oversee the processing of debit and credit memos, monthly statements, and finance fees.
Lead initiatives to improve working capital, including account monitoring and aligning AR DSO. Ensure effective and efficient processing of all AR functions.
Stay informed about legislative changes and procedural training related to debt collection.
Qualifications Desired:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting, A/R, and/or billing experience
· Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Proficiency in MS Excel
· Strong people management skills
