LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking to fill an Accounts Receivable Manager role for a stable and growing company based in the Triad area of North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have accounts receivable and billing experience coupled with previous leadership skills, with a minimum of 6 years of total relevant experience. AR Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily functions of the Accounts Receivable department, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Set clear objectives for the Accounts Receivable team that align with the broader goals of the accounting department. Provide training and mentorship to staff members.

  • Supervise the processing of invoices and the cash application process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Conduct thorough credit checks on new and potential customers, manage outstanding credit, and monitor overall exposure. Develop and present detailed reports for the leadership team.

  • Negotiate with customers in cases of non-payment, oversee the collections efforts of the team, and develop robust reporting for accounts receivable. Monitor aging balances and recommend write-offs as necessary.

  • Manage all communications with external legal counsel and oversee small claims court cases. Conduct cost analysis on accounts within legal proceedings and provide recommendations.

  • Ensure the accuracy of the Accounts Receivable ledger and sub-ledger. Oversee the processing of debit and credit memos, monthly statements, and finance fees.

  • Lead initiatives to improve working capital, including account monitoring and aligning AR DSO. Ensure effective and efficient processing of all AR functions.

  • Stay informed about legislative changes and procedural training related to debt collection.

Qualifications Desired:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting, A/R, and/or billing experience

· Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Proficiency in MS Excel

· Strong people management skills
