Job Title: Contract Specialist

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon

Schedule: Full-time

Pay Rate: $43-$52/hr.

Employment Type: Temporary-to-Hire

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company in Hillsboro, Oregon to find a Contract Review Specialist for an immediate opening. This role is centered on the review, analysis, and negotiation of commercial agreements, with a strong focus on vendor-side contracts. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented mindset, solid experience in legal contract review, and a strong understanding of risk assessment and direct negotiation of contractual terms and conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, revise, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor contracts, service agreements, purchase orders, consulting agreements, reseller/distribution agreements, and public sector contracts

  • Recommend and negotiate changes to key terms such as indemnity, insurance, payment terms, limitation of liability, warranties, and damages

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to resolve contract discrepancies and finalize agreements

  • Prepare redlines, escalate complex legal issues as needed, and maintain organized documentation of all contract activity

  • Advise internal stakeholders on risk, compliance, and best practices in contract negotiation

  • Ensure alignment with company policies and work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams

  • Support bonding requests and coordinate with insurance providers

  • Contribute to internal training initiatives related to contract processes and negotiation strategy

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract negotiation and legal document review

  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor-side contracting, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies

  • Strong knowledge of contract structures and legal terms across various agreement types

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a detail-oriented and organized approach

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative experience working with legal, procurement, finance, and sales teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management systems

  • Paralegal certificate or associate degree in legal studies or business administration preferred

  • Prior experience with contracts in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors preferred
