Job Title: Supply Chain Engineer
Location: Hillsboro, OR (Hybrid Worksite with Weekly Onsite Requirements)

Overview: LHH Recruitment Solutions is thrilled to collaborate with a global company in Hillsboro, OR, to recruit a Supply Chain Engineer. This newly created role is designed to support the company's growth by establishing a new supply chain for an exciting product line. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with weekly onsite requirements, providing an excellent balance of flexibility and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • BOM Analysis: Review and analyze the Bill of Materials (BOM) to identify opportunities for volume purchases and cost savings.
  • Component Sourcing: Source mechanical parts (e.g., nuts, bolts, sheet metal frames), electrical and electro-mechanical components (e.g., cabling), and controls and software components.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, including finding new suppliers and evaluating their capabilities.
  • Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier audits and facility visits to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
  • Travel Requirements: Regional travel to audit suppliers and visit facilities. Travel is generally 2-5 days per trip, occurring once a month or every other month. Company vehicle provided for in-state travel (up to 5 hours). A valid driver's license and clean driving history are required.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement, engineering, supply chain, and/or quality management.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive positive outcomes through creative solutions in sourcing and supplier development. Strong interpersonal, project management, and presentation skills. Proficiency in understanding engineering specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, problem-solving, and continual process improvement. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and familiar with MRP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter with effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.

  • Pay: $85K+ base salary with bonus potential based largely on company performance.
