Position Title: Small Company Controller/Accountant

Compensation: $80-100K+ small discretionary bonus

  • PTO that steps up with Seniority (max accrual is 400 hours)

  • 401k plan with no match

  • Medical, Dental, Vision with 80% employee coverage

Hours/Schedule: 8-5, 40 hour work week (sometimes less needed), Onsite primarily

This job:

  • This job is an Accounting Department of one

  • Month End Close, Year End Close

  • Bookkeeping (AP, AR, GL), Payroll Journal Entries

  • Property Tax payments

  • Cost Accounting and Inventory (simple)

  • Financial Reporting, Profitability Reporting, Retrospective reviews

  • Partner with Sales team to put together the forecast

  • Budgeting is mostly related to knowing if we can make a capital outlay

We are looking for:

  • BS Degree in Accounting or closely related field

  • 5+ years of Accounting experience

  • Experience producing whole company accounting close

  • Manufacturing Industry: Inventory valuation and deviations, with light understanding of cost (Actual plus and Job Costing, not super complex)

  • Full Financial Statements

Cultural Notes:

  • Fun place where people are tight knit (mostly because they have worked there a long time).

  • A lot of people have long tenure

  • Familial and likes to be social (their team throws baby showers for each other, celebrations, summer picnic thrown by the company, etc).

  • Flexible. They are comfortable with people coming and going as needed but they expect your work to be done from the office as much as possible. Not a remote/hybrid, but flexible if you need something. They also take a flexible approach to they way they are in temperament.

  • Engaging and likes to collaborate throughout the company



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
