Accounting Manager – Manufacturing

LHH is hiring for a global, multi-million dollar manufacturing company. The Accounting Manager position is newly added to support the growth of the organization to join their growing team and report to the Head of Finance. There is ability to grow in the organization, improve processes and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of three within operational accounting

• Responsible for working collaboratively with members of different departments to provide timely financial analysis to aid in strategic business decision

• Primary responsibilities include month-end close duties such as journal entries and account reconciliations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of accounting experience with 2+ years of management experience

• Manufacturing industry or relevant industry

• Cost experience is preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Understanding and application of accounting principles/practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

• Strong business partnering and communication skills

• Working knowledge of ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of three operational accountants

• Responsible for working collaboratively with members of different departments to provide timely financial analysis to aid in strategic business decision

• Primary responsibilities include month-end close duties such as journal entries and account reconciliations

• Provide financial support and be a business partner to commercial and operations functions

• Performs month-end closing procedures and reporting, including fixed assets, inventory, and ad hoc analysis

• Report on key business metrics

• Lead assigned projects focusing on continuous improvement

• Effectively communicates and coordinates the exchange of financial information to key stakeholder
