Accounting Manager

LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager for Houston, TX area client. The ideal candidate will have current experience managing a team, oversight of full general ledger accounting and close functions as well as public accounting or SOX environment experience. Primary qualifications of the Accounting Manager opportunity include:

• Coordinate the month-end close process

• Manage day-to-day, full-cycle accounting functions, including fixed asset accounting

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements

• Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations

• Perform variance analysis and prepare ad hoc reports as directed

• Manage quarterly and annual audit requests

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's in accounting, finance or related field

• CPA license and/or public accounting experience

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience

• System savvy, strong Excel skills and ERP system experience

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
