Job Overview:
We are partnerning with a leading ticketing company based in Houston, TX to find a driven AP Specialist. This company offers a HYBRID work schedule and lots of career growth! This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. The AP Specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain vendor relationships, reconcile accounts, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting processes.
To qualify applicants must have a year or more in a recent AP role and ability to work independently.
Salary for the AP Specialist ranges between $24 and $27 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Verify and reconcile purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, such as account reconciliations and accruals.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records of accounts payable transactions.
- Support other accounting functions as needed and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- One+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
