Accounts Payable Supervisor
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 + Bonus (QIP 8% target & DAB 5% target)
Overview: Are you an experienced accounting professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for process improvement? Our client is seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee a portion of their Accounts Payable operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and lead a team of talented professionals.
The qualified candidate must have management experience, recent SAP experience and comfortable working on-site for at least 6 months. A hybrid schedule will be available once rapport is established and training expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise a team of 7+ professionals and administrative staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Staff Development: Provide ongoing support and training to staff, offering performance feedback and guidance to foster professional growth.
Audit Collaboration: Work closely with external auditors, providing necessary data and analysis.
Internal Controls: Collaborate with internal audit teams to ensure compliance with SOX processes and company policies.
Process Improvement: Drive company-wide process improvement initiatives and seek out opportunities for increased efficiency.
Reporting & Analysis: Participate in daily and month-end AP reporting and metrics analysis.
Workflow Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain the accounts payable electronic workflow process, continuously searching for improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of seven years of accounting experience, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or related industries.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computerized accounting systems, with SAP experience being critical. Advanced skills in Excel are required, and familiarity with Access is preferred.
