Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist (Billing and Collections)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and maintaining positive client relationships. Responsibilities:
· Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients in accordance with contract terms and company policies.
· Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments promptly and professionally.
· Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and address client inquiries in a timely manner.
· Maintain accurate records of all billing and collection activities, including updating customer information and payment statuses in the accounting system.
· Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable, including aging reports, collections forecasts, and cash flow projections.
· Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
· Assigned account month-end reconciliations
· Journal entries
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
· Minimum of three years proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
· Experience with month-end reconciliations
· Experience with journal entries
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (PeopleSoft preferred).
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of insurance billing and regulatory requirements is a plus.
