Job Summary:

We are partnering with a rapidly growing Corporate Travel company in Houston, TX to find a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join their team! This company offers a stimulating work environment and the opportunity to grow professionally.

Qualified candidates should have either a Bachelor's Degree or three or more years in a recent accounting role with a high degree of professionalism.

Hourly pay for the Accounting Specialist ranges between $24 and $28 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and manage communication with agents and vendors to ensure timely payment processing.

• Chase outstanding payments and diligently follow up on collections.

• Handle commission calculations and provide backup support as needed.

• Collaborate with financial institutions to manage banking relationships and transactions.

• Conduct thorough research and analysis to resolve complex accounting issues.

• Assist in reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies.

• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Execute data cleanup and maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize strong Excel skills, including complex formulas and data manipulation.

• Think innovatively to solve problems and implement creative solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field of study OR three or more years in a recent accounting role.

• Above average professionalism

• Abiity to communicate effectively with vendor, clients and teammates

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel highly preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

• Prior experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting is a plus.
