Job Posting: Senior Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist
Location: Houston, TX (100% On-Site)
Pay Range: $28/hr - $32/hr ($58,240.00 - $66,560.00 annually), non-exempt
Job Type: Direct Hire
Position Overview:
A prominent organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist. This newly created position is ideal for a professional with extensive billing experience and a strong background in accounts receivable. The role involves managing billing modules, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and maintaining customer accounts. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and report directly to the Corporate Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoicing and Revenue Management: Perform invoicing for customers and subsidiary organizations, and enter revenue into subledger systems to generate financial transactions.
Contract Management: Create sheets for specific contract customers and run and reconcile preliminary job status reports to job cost documents.
Production Analysis: Run production analysis reports and perform vessel invoicing.
Documentation and Templates: Maintain Excel invoice templates and customer rate sheets, and gather necessary backup documentation for completing the invoice process.
Timesheet Reconciliation: Reconcile timesheets to payroll summary reports.
Customer Information Management: Create, maintain, and modify customer information in both general ledger and subledger systems.
Cash Application: Apply daily cash deposits to customer remittance information.
Accounts Receivable Management: Maintain and manage customer accounts receivable aging information to ensure timely collection of cash.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree (preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in accounts receivable and billing.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Dynamics GP, NetSuite, and/or other cloud-based accounting systems/ERP. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
