LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and organized Commercial Operations Specialist/ LNG and Hydrocarbon Operations Manager to join our client’s team.
Job Title: Commercial Operations Specialist/ LNG and Hydrocarbon Operations Manager
Location: Hybrid – Houston, TX 77010
Work Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Hybrid Work Model: 2 days in-office (Tuesdays & Thursdays), with the potential for a 3rd day in-office (subject to post-COVID hybrid policy adjustments).
Parking: $100 monthly reimbursement for specified parking locations
Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 per year (based on experience)
Performance Bonus: 15% performance-based bonus
Employment Type: Direct Hire
This critical role will be responsible for the management of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and Heavy Hydrocarbon (HHC) cargoes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and smooth operations throughout the LNG value chain. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage schedules, and handle complex operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. LNG Offtake Operations
Manage and develop the Annual Program (AP) for LNG cargo liftings, coordinating with marketing and relevant teams.
Create and maintain the Ninety Day Schedule (NDS), updating as necessary and managing changes.
Track LNG volumes, storage positions, fuel, flare, and unaccounted-for feed gas quantities.
Dispatch notices to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and terms.
2. HHC Offtake and Sales
Oversee HHC production and ensure smooth lifting by HHC offtakers.
Manage production and sales allocation among Tollers and ensure proper tracking and reporting.
Collaborate with partners for truckload nominations, production analysis, and approvals.
Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to safeguard payment measures.
3. Marine Operations
Monitor vessel ETAs and Pre-Arrival Notices, ensuring compliance with Marine Terminal Liability Agreements.
Coordinate cargo documentation with shipping agents and handle vessel nominations.
Maintain cargo loading records and manage demurrage calculations.
Participate in On-Call Duty Rotation and provide weather updates as needed.
4. Entry of Transaction Details
Ensure accurate entry of LNG supply purchase deals into the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system.
Create and manage deals for LNG cargoes and HHC truckloads, entering relevant fees and ensuring all data is updated.
Administer ETRM contracts and troubleshoot system-related issues.
5. Administration and Compliance
Participate in external meetings, communicating relevant information to internal teams.
Maintain the Commercial Operations document repository with updated events and correspondence.
Ensure timely completion of Automated Export System (AES) filings, DOE, and FERC reporting requirements.
Oversee cargo and truckload close-out processes and ensure daily reports are updated.
